ERC consulting was set up in 2009 with three founding company directors. In 2013 Renate McIntyre took over the full ownership of the business and re-named it Calla HR. Initially she ran the business part time while in full time employment. In mid 2015 she left full time employment to focus full time on Calla HR. Experienced in all areas of Human Resources, Renate is passionate about ensuring HR is both business and people centric.

Renate McIntyre, Managing Director Calla HR

Renate holds a Bsc in marketing and international business from Penn State University and an MBS in Human Resource Management from University College Dublin. She spent 7 years at Google in a variety of EMEA wide business and HR roles and was part of the senior management team that set up and grew the Google Dublin office from scratch to over 1000+ employees. At Google she also set up, scaled and ran a number of EMEA and organisational L&D functions.

 

Subsequently she spent 4 years working in the Irish public sector, while simultaneously running her own consultancy business part-time, where one of her clients were Etsy. She joined Etsy full time as Dublin Site Lead and Head of HR for Etsy International. Based at Etsy's European headquarters in Dublin, Renate was focusing on building the Dublin office and scaling the HR function across all of Etsy's international locations. She left Etsy in 2015 to set up Calla HR.

At Calla HR, Renate has been an Advisor, Coach and Consultant to a range of public sector and technology companies. For example:

• Advisor and People business partner to senior People and Talent leadership for companies expanding into Europe and Ireland.

• Review, development and implementation of innovative talent management strategies and processes. 

• Helping ensuring HR compliance to local laws: Development of employment contract templates, employee handbooks and relevant policies and procedures.

• Development of a general People and L&D strategy and implementation plan in line with overall company business strategies.

• Tailored management and Leadership programme development and delivery and one to one coaching.
